Tiborszallasi was developed in Hungary and is a primarily grown for CBD biomass & fiber. It has a high leaf to calyx ratio which makes it the top biomass producer coming from the EU, producing close to 2x the biomass compared to shorter dwarf grain varieties. The only European variety that comes close in biomass production is Kompolti.

Tiborszallasi reportedly prefers well-draining fields and soil type, and has high water requirements for biomass & CBD late in the season.  It performs well from northern Scandinavia to southern Mediterranean basin and has a terpene profile of Borneolo, Camphene and Delta 3. While Tiborszallasi is one of the best CBD producers from Europe, it's flowers are not as well formed or potent as Kompolti and Carmagnola. This means farmers typically plant it tighter together to harvest the tops for biomass, then the stalks for fiber, rather than wide spacing typical of the premium flower market.
