This famous Italian hemp variety is named after the region it's from, Carmagnola, in the region of Piedmont, near Turin, Italy. This originated as a fiber variety but is now more grown for CBD flowers. If Males are removed, its reported the sinsemilla can reach 15% Cannabidiol. Otherwise if pollinated, the seeded buds on select females can still reach 10% CBD. As biomass, those numbers are cut in half. 

It has been recently discovered in 2020 that Carmagnola flowers contain a new, novel cannabinoid called cannabimovone, or CBM. Research suggests CBM promotes healthy metabolism and organ function, and maybe useful to treat disorders related to insulin resistance such as diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, high cholesterol, among others.
